Please do not allow sprawl. Why plan for development in Greenfield areas if most of our built-up areas are underdeveloped? Please focus ALL growth around transit (which has had good progress with the MTSAs) and built-up, established communities. Lire davantage

Township of King

Statut du commentaire

The Township of King has serious concerns with respect to the commenting deadline of July 31st. Not only regarding the amount of time, but more particularly with respect to the timing. Late June and July are periods when typically Council meetings are recessed for summer break. Lire davantage

As a resident of Ontario I am strongly opposed to any growth that will have an impact on the environment. This includes any small impact. There is no good reason to put growth ahead of our natural world. A strong economy is useless if there is nothing to sustain this planet for the long haul. Lire davantage

We dont want expansion. Stop taking away natural habitat from the insects, birds, animals and us. I am sick of all the shops and houses going up everywhere ruining everything. We do not need more shopping or more homes. We need large tracts of land for the ecosystem to thrive. Lire davantage

I vehemently oppose these proposed changes- they fully undermine Endangered species, and in turn all of us. Lire davantage

I am not supportive of the changes to "A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe" that strip endangered species protections in the Greater Golden Horseshoe nor the changes that remove protections for waterways, deleting them from the growth plan’s definition of what qualifies as Lire davantage

This government must rethink any aspect of this plan that weakens protection for Endangered Species. Developed areas like the Golden Horseshoe are already wreaking havoc on endangered species, if anything they need more protection, not less. Lire davantage

If these changes are put in place they will remove many of the protections that are in place for many of the endangered species located in the golden horseshoe. Specifically, this would come to be as mining corporations mine for aggregate. Lire davantage

Disgusting. Anything for a buck, eh? When Ontario is on fire, or under water, thanks to these ridiculously short-sighted policies, will your shareholders be happy? You cannot be rich if you kill off everything worth living for.

This "lebensraum" scam is just a giveaway for Ford's greedy billionaire buddies. LEAVE THE GREENSPACE ALONE. Toronto is known as a great city BECAUSE it has grown without destroying everything around it. If Ford's plan goes through Toronto might as well be Gary, Indiana. Lire davantage
