Water is part of the local commons. Water is life; not a commodity.
Acknowledging these fundamental truths, water belongs locally and must not be extracted for profit in the bottled water piracy movement headed by multinational generators of pollution, greed, and dehumanization.
Water is an essential part of the local cycle of life. Consideration of removing water from its residence is equivalent to disrupting the lives of all peoples and organisms in the watershed. Our lives are not for sale. We are not commodities but living souls and stewards of creation. Sustainability is priority number one.
The rush of "development" for residential and commercial purposes is, in effect, a threat to weakens, compromises, and destroys life balance and potential in the local biome. Rather than speak of "development" and commercial "extraction" of water, it is prudent to speak of "life cycle productivity disruption."
Management and control of water must be left in the hands of local lives for long-term, local, well-being. Environmental disruption renders this responsibility more complex and urgent than ever before in human history. Human generated models are inadequate and unreliable in this changing milieu. Therefore keep the water local.
