I am commenting as an advocate to allow licensed falconers the ability to trap a wild bird each calendar year.

As it is stated in the proposal, the numbers are secure for the four species. As well the introduction of trapping northern Goshawks is a step in the right direction as with new data it will show that their numbers are secure as well.

This is a proactive and positive approach that the MNRF is taking to aid the growing number of falconers in Ontario. The current lottery system is simply out dated to the current request of licensed falconers in Ontario.
This proposal should be approved.
