Once again the north is completely forgotten. Proper consultation needs to be done besides the ERO. Do open houses somehow about this in the north where fuelwood is important to people Do you realise that in northern ontario people heat there house with fire wood which require more volume then the amout you are proposing. The other thing is that white birch is not a species people burn or collect as there I barely any birch and is usually very difficult to get to. Tamarack is ubundent and not harvested in forestry operation it should included for personal harvest. As for not picking up in active forestry operations have you ever seen the wood that is wasted and uncollected left there to rot. I understand not allowing people to go when the operations or ongoing but most operations don't occur on weekends and why not let people go when there is access and easy to get to. Consult better on this and look further then southern Ontario as we are all important in this province, think about the importance of wood for heating homes not just someone going camping for the weekend.
