I do see this as beneficial in reducing red tape. It also provides many more opportunities for gathering of personal use logs and firewood. I do however have concern on the enforcement of the regulation changes. NDMNRF have limited resources to monitor this on a general basis. Lire davantage

While controlling any activities on Crown lands is almost impossible, creating a door to legalalizing actions as proposed will create more problems I believe. Lire davantage

Cutting only downed wood for home heating purposes is simply not feasible, so as long as a permit is still available for cutting standing dead wood I do not see a problem.

I fully agree with the concept of being able to cut downed trees (with a 10 Cubic metre annual limit) for personal use without requiring a permit. The previous system of permits was onerous, allowing cuts in only specific and often distant locations. Lire davantage

it is not right for someone to register, or even think about registering. more RULES proposed !! has there been problems with people taking too much firewood, or 2 christmas trees etc. Lire davantage

Personal fuelwood change to no permit is good. Cost MNR more to issue one than the hassle was worth. Plus the inconvenience of having to travel to another town to obtain one.

I fully support the NDMNRF proposed regulatory changes under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act for the harvest of Crown Forest resources for personal use as this will exempt persons who harvest said resources from acquiring authorization from NDMNRF and standardized the changes across the province Lire davantage
