I have real concerns that the province has cancelled cap and trade without putting a meaningful alternative in place. Climate change is probably the most pressing problem we face as a planet, and we need a law that recognizes that, that sets science-based emissions limits, creates a legal obligation to stay within those limits, and requires regular reporting in a credible, transparent way on how we're doing to meet those targets.
