Building in the greenbelt is a terrible idea considering the environmental risks at stake and low return on investment to the population. Car pollution, urban sprawl and poorly planned sub urban development are significant contributors to a growing environmental crisis. Furthermore any developments in those areas would be unsafe from the elements including floods. Please consider densification, anti real estate speculation and enhanced suburban development before dipping your dirty hands into our protected greenbelt. As an Ontario taxpayer I strongly condemn this legislation.
