Urban sprawl is bad. We know this and experience across North America supports it. It's bad for the environment, bad for creating livable communities, and bad for the public purse. The proposed amendments allow for more sprawl in Ontario. Intensification is the correct approach to build more housing and is the only way to ensure sustainable, age-friendly, transit supportive, affordable, healthy and livable communities for Ontarians. Please withdraw these amendments and maintain the integrity of the Greenbelt.
