I live in the Pickering area and oppose the amendment. Protect our current Greenbelt boundaries. We will never be able to reclaim the farmland once it is developed. I support centralized urbanization within the current development limits.

I am very much against the removal of greenbelt lands in Pickering. This land is no where near major transportation routes and servicing hubs. This land would have to be used for single residential development - in other words, 'sprawl'. Lire davantage

A BIG NO to any changes to the greenbelt area boundary regulations. There are innovative ways to increase housing - look to many European cities - that do not increase urban sprawl. The greenbelt needs to be saved and if any changes are to be made it needs to be EXPANDED not destroyed.
