The idea of allowing development in the Green Belt frightens and astonishes me. I hear ads on the radio by the builders association that misinforms and makes no mention of where the expansion of housing will take place. Each time I hear it I am sad and angry and feel concern toward those who will be misled.

The housing crisis is about affordable housing not developers and builders growing their businesses while destroying the land we have protected, and need to continue protecting.

When nature shows us how we are negatively affecting the earth we need to listen.

The impact of not preserving these lands will slowly make it unnecessary to build homes. Life will become more precarious and we will die from our government’s lack of foresight to care for the nature that sustains us. This will not be reversible and it astounds me that a risk like this would be imposed upon Ontario.

This is about power, privilege and supporting the rich to become richer. Please don’t allow this to happen and find the integrity to uphold promises made to recognize and protect the green belt.
