As a member of the Etobicoke-Lakeshore district, I have been very concerned about this government's ongoing attempts to prioritize development over critical protected farmland and restricted spaces.

We do not need endless suburban sprawl to address the province's housing shortage, this has never helped. We need higher-density, affordable and interconnected communities with access to robust infrastructure and multiple forms of transportation.

The proposed Greenbelt developments will not address the need for housing, especially housing in higher-density areas that are currently suffering from the worst impacts of the housing crisis.
