Please leave greenbelt land alone.
1. This kind of huge, expensive housing does little to deal with the housing issues that lower income, small families experience, especially when we see that suburbs like adequate public transportation, settlement services, community services, or adequate infrastructure planning. Housing developers don’t prioritize these issues.
2. We need protected land. This type of development only thinks about the immediate short term. Plants and animals deserve better and we continue to wipe out land and misuse (ie dump chemical waste) the resources we have. Please think of future generations.
3. Adequate housing should not come at the cost of adding to climate change. We should be protecting farmland. You are going back on your 2018 and 2020 promises. You are putting profit over people, over our future.
