The Greenbelt Plan is essential to protecting lands that were designated as worthy of protection by many long and hard-fought battles. This land is PROTECTED. It should not be touched - for whatever worthy cause. Surely Ontario has some other "non-protected" land that could be used for development? Once touched, there is a precedent, and soon all the protected lands will be thousands of miles from populations. Please, don't touch the Greenbelt lands.
