Green space was not designated in the past to be utilized for hard scape in the future. It was designated as green space to ensure there will always be green space - an area of grass, trees, or other vegetation set apart for recreational or aesthetic purposes in an otherwise urban environment. Using this green space is not going to solve the affordable housing issues.
