Why are we doing this? We know better. The ramifications of this will be for years to come and affect your children and grandchildren. It will affect species, habitats, water filtration; systems disrupted by wetlands, and the list goes on.
We need to be smarter in Ontario and figure out other ways to build more homes and let me state affordable homes rather than catering to the developers who appear to care very little about the ramifications for the environment and its long lasting effects. Building more sprawl and highways is not the answer to a better living environment. Suburbia has already been proven to have been a bad planning idea creating only more commuting and time away from families. Please consider the many other opportunities and avenues to build honouring the earth that we live on.
