This is a greedy idea that is not in the best interests for the people of Ontario and Canada.

Bill 23 and all the associated policies remove and weaken environmental protections and reduce the role that Ontarians have in land use planning and decision-making.

There are many communities throughout Ontario that outright oppose Bill 23. This is because the Ford government is undermining democracy by limiting public input.

It is outright false that this is to build public housing. This bill is specifically for the private interests to build on land that was set aside for greenspace, as well as to limit well earned controls to prevent developers from pushing through poor planning.

The bill also will force municipalities to pay more taxes for proposed development. This bill should not exist.
