The proposed changes in this bill are an attack on the citizens of Ontario currently living in planned neighborhoods.
There is no justification for this. Doug Ford's government has no data and no proof that these proposed changes will increase affordable housing at all. Where is the justification to the people of Ontario? We all see that these changes will only line the pockets of developers and noone else. Furthermore, you can't just dump multiple families into areas that were already planned for water, sewage, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure. How are communities so to cope with these unplanned additions?
In addition developers that build these units must pair their fare share to support local infrastructure.
People don't buy homes in a planned community to fleeced by Doug Ford and his developer cronies.
Enough is enough.
