Removing the planning policy and approval responsibilities from certain upper-tier municipalities (regions of Durham, Halton, Niagara, Peel, Simcoe, Waterloo, York) is not acceptable! Wow! What kind of dictatorship has this government become!
Limiting third party appeals for all planning matters (official plans, official plan amendments, zoning by-laws, zoning by-law amendments, consents and minor variances) is unacceptable!
Wow! Shocking that anyone would think that the public should not have an opportunity to review draft plans of subdivision!!! Public Meetings on Plans of Subdivision must continue! Transparency to the public must continue.
Why would anyone think that developers should not submit Site Plans for Development up to 10 units. Some site plan control is still needed for residential development up to 10 units. What if a developer tries to use this provision to push forward with multiple small unit developments?
We should not be limiting conservation authority (CA) appeals of land use planning decisions.
This statement is very concerning “It is expected that any additional costs associated with planning responsibilities would be taken on by lower-tier municipalities.” This seems to imply that local property owners will take on additional costs. This is not acceptable and must be changed.
It seems that the development sector benefits and saves at the expense of local property owners. This is not acceptable.
