My biggest concern with allowing the floating containers on the Trent is the impact on the environment. But there are so many other issues attached to these containers. We as cottage owners are very limited as to the size of dock we can build, and are not allowed an enclosed boat ports due to the impact on the fish and plant matter, but yet these oversized containers can be situated anywhere they can attach themselves too right out front of our cottage, without our say. No taxes are being paid, no boat permits, no respect for cottage owners that have no say in these giant containers parking out front with a possibility of boats docking at them. Blackwater and greywater that may be polluting the lake is just another cause of concern. The large wakes produced by the boat traffic is already an issue on the Trent, and now these containers are only going to increase angry cottagers even more. These containers break so many rules that I am not even sure how they are being allowed in the water at all!
