If the Ontario government were to allow for floating accommodations on any lakes (other than the Great Lakes) in Ontario I will never vote for the Conservative Party again. This would be a disaster for lakefront property owners especially those on small to medium sized lakes. Lakefront property owners already pay exorbitantly high tax rates relative to property value and subsidize the tax base of cottage country communities.
