I have reviewed the new proposed regulation. I have significant concerns over the 300m distance from onshore structures. We anchor our boat in the sheltered bays on Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. For safety we anchor in the protected and shallow waters close to the shoreline. We chose our spot so that we minimize our impact on the public and private lands. The proposed 300m distance would be dangerous as we would need to be anchoring in deep water and be more exposed to wind and waves.
