I am opposed to allowing floating accommodation, boats or "floating cottages" to anchor or tie up to shore anywhere except for supervised anchorages at national or provincial parks.
Just as an RV would not be permitted to park for days at the curb in front of my house, this type of mobile accommodation should not be allowed to sit in front of my cottage.
It compromises my privacy and is a significant threat to water quality. It's just too easy to dump sewage and garbage into the water.
