The proposal of no overnight anchoring "close to home / marina" brings me so much sadness and heartache. My family lives for the boating season, as that is the only vacation time we can get (weekends away) 1 hour from home, due to the nature of our work. If anchoring out is taken away, we will simply have nothing to enjoy or look forward to.
We are courteous, responsible and respectful boater, and have NEVER had any issues with cottages. Sadly we do not have cottage money, and that is why we boat.
Please consider how this is hurting others, who have done nothing wrong. Perhaps ticket the offenders and base it on an individual basis.
