I am confused about this change, where specifically you've been having issues, and who will be negatively affected by it.
There seems to be growing problems in the French and Mattawa River area but your changes will affect all of Ontario. Is this true?
You have not identified clearly, with examples, the types of issues.
At first I thought the problem was floating house-like structures used like cottages.
But then it seemed you were only interested in powerboats and sailboats, and that house-type boats were to be excluded:
"We are proposing to define watercrafts equipped for overnight accommodation to be liveaboards and houseboats (watercraft intended primarily for use in navigation equipped with facilities for overnight stays while travelling). The definition would exclude floating accommodations or float homes.
You say there has been an increase in vessels. Can you back that up? What we are seeing on Lake Ontario is a reduction in pleasure craft over the years.
I would like to be able to attend a public Q&A to better understand and possibly help rewrite this proposal. Is this possible?
This proposal is very poorly written.
