We need to preserve the planet for our children. Removing the rebate for electric vehicles is a retrograde step fuelled by populism - offering to reduce fuel prices by 10 cents/litre puts money into the pockets of the oil companies. A more sensible move would have been to change the structure of the rebates, offer more on lower price electric vehicles and continue the decrease in rebates for more expensive vehicles. We MUST as a province see that we are not an island - all countries in the world are connected and what each one affects the others. Let us set an example and move towards a greener transport policy - and away from oil
