Due to business practices…

Due to business practices that were not transparent, the 15 parcels of land must be returned to the Greenbelt. This 'Greenbelt proposal' raises a bigger issue with our government not following proper procedures and in the process, risk loosing the trust of the public. I have been a supporter of the Ford government for years. I think he did a great job throughout the pandemic. I was disappointed when this whole Greenbelt issue surfaced and - like I mentioned above - started questioning my trust in this government.

Do the right thing! People first... not lucrative business dealings that impact millions of people. There are lots of other alternatives but more importantly, for any decision that has such an impact on land, the people and life in general, any future boundary changes need to be made through a public, transparent and fair legislative process.

Here in Canada, we need to follow proper procedure not only for this specific issue but for any decisions the government makes in the best interest of the population. We cannot become a place known for corruption! Keep it fair, open and transparent.

Remember, it takes time to build trust but it can be lost in an instant.
