I am writing to express my support for this proposal to return lands to the Greenbelt.

Our greenbelt is a natural wonder. It is home to fertile farmland, provides habitat for wildlife (including species-at risk), and also safeguards wetlands which are now extremely rare in the province. While I understand the need to build more homes in Ontario, our existing built-up areas are not being used efficiently, and we have more than enough land outside the Greenbelt which can be leveraged to solve the housing crisis (a conclusion reached by Ontario's own Housing Affordability Task Force).

I believe that passing this bill is a great way to ensure that the environment is preserved and enjoyed by current and future generations.
