This member of the public gives many hoots about the greenbelt land being restored. It was criminal that it was removed in the first place. The greenbelt is a sacred section of land that cleans our air, protects us from flooding, offers protection to endangered species and has irreplaceable complex habitats and fertile farmlands. The greenbelt should never be considered for housing or commercial development. We must instead urgently build high density, affordable housing where it’s needed, near and in our cities closer to infrastructure. Do not touch our protected green spaces. Thank you.
