We are the lawyers for The Governing Council of the University of Toronto. We are writing on behalf of the University in respect of the City of Toronto’s OPA 644 which, as adopted, permitted limited conversions of employment lands in Toronto. The University requests that its property, located generally southeast of Steeles Avenue West and Dufferin Street in the City of Toronto, municipally known as 4925, 4961 and 5201 Dufferin Street (the “Property”), be considered by the Minister for redesignation as part of the Minister’s approval of OPA 644, which will advance over 750 residential units and 460 jobs, in furtherance of provincial priorities, as further set out below.
