I strongly oppose this potential dump\ recycle site.
Environmentally speaking, Molly Creek is directly behind the proposed site. Sydenham Rive is within a kilometer. These are both environmentally sensitive areas with endangered species living in the river. With potential leachate affecting these areas, it could become a disaster. In regards to greenhouse gas emissions, potential truck traffic from Toronto to Dresden hauling this material would be a huge contributor to greenhouse gases.
Surrounding properties which have been purchased for this dump, are prime agricultural class 1 land. This land should be used for food production, NOT a dump.
In summary, this is a VERY POOR location for a dump and there are alot of less sensitive areas that would be more appropriate than here.
