The people of Dresden do not…

The people of Dresden do not want this dump at all. It is too close to town and Molly's Creek, which eventually flows into the Sydenham River. There are many endangered species that live in the Sydenham and this landfill could potentially put them at risk.
There are too many people close to this landfill that could cause adverse health issues. It is stated that any new landfill needs to be 3.5k away from any town. Hundreds of kids are bussed to Dresden everyday to go to high school and elementary school. This is way to close. Though it technically was a landfill back in 1979 (which it only took ash and was MUCH smaller than what York1 is proposing), environmental laws and regulations were vastly different back then. There should be no way York1 can re-open this site based on what it was 40 plus years ago.
Please, do not do this to the people of Dresden. We are begging you to stop this project from going through. My husband and I just built our dream home outside of Dresden and started a family a few years ago. We do not want this for our children and hope you do not destroy this beautiful little town.
