Please do not scrap carbon…

Please do not scrap carbon pricing. Our future depends on it.
Every day, I worry about what the future of the world will look like for my children.
Increasing heat waves, forest fires, and droughts, are becoming the norm in Ontario, Canada, and the world.
It is VITAL that governments do everything in their power to ward off disaster.
Climate change is real. It is man made. Greenhouse gas pollution is the cause.
We know these things. We can not pretend we don't.
Carbon pricing is ESSENTIAL to steering habits and the economy so that we can save the future of our planet.
The recent IPCC report stated that unless drastic political measures are taken, the world will continue to warm beyond our control, causing havoc and destruction for every human being. We have only 12 years to act. We CAN NOT remain dormant with our heads in the sand.
It also stated that carbon pricing is critical in creating any kind of hope for the future. Furthermore, current carbon price levels need to be exponentially increased.
We need a major shift, and the Green economy is a $26 trillion dollar opportunity. Our economy will survive (even thrive from) this shift, but humanity will not survive if we don't do everything we can NOW.

Be a hero. Do the right thing for our future. Please. Don't cancel carbon pricing.
