First, one must believe there really is such a thing as climate change. In my view, the current government in Ontario does not. I would suggest that Bill 4 is all smoke and mirrors. This is a Bill that cancels Cap and Trade, a program that was effective. It collected money to reinvest in our province. Bill 4 does not tell us what this government intends to do to replace it and combat climate change. Instead, it embarrasses us as Ontarians by cancelling the program that invested in our institutions and telling business they cannot trust our word. What is their plan? We don't know since it is not outlined in the Bill leading me to believe there is no plan. So, they are going through the motions of pretending to listen by rushing this Bill through the House to pass it after 8.5 hours of Public Hearings in Committee.

Sometimes, we make mistakes. It is time for the government to admit it's mistake and let Bill 4 die on the Order Paper. The supposed $260.00 they are promising to put back in my pocket will do nothing for me, my children and grandchildren as the world erodes.
