RE: Proposed Changes to Regulations under the Planning Act and Development Charges Act, 1997 Relating to the Bill 185, Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024 (Bill 185): Newspaper Notice Requirements and Consequential Housekeeping Changes (ERO 019-8370)
On behalf of the City of Toronto, we are pleased to submit the City’s comments and recommended revisions to the changes proposed through Bill 185 regarding Newspaper Notice requirements. At its meeting of May 9, 2024, Planning and Housing Committee considered the staff report including attachments 1 to 4 which address the feedback being requested through the various ERO postings. Enclosed attachments contain key recommendations and detailed comments on Bill 185, including Newspaper Notice requirements.
Toronto City Council will consider the staff report and attachments 1 to 4 on May 22-24, 2024. Staff will forward to the Province Council’s comments raised and written communications from interested parties during the consideration of the enclosed report.
