Greenfield Global Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for Greenfield Global Inc. for the operation of an Anaerobic Digestor facility, located in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario.

This application includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere including a biofilter, flare, aeration tanks, and Tail Gas Exhaust through Upgrading Units.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

• acetone
• ethanol
• methanol
• ammonia
• hydrogen sulphide
• nitrogen oxides
• sulphur dioxide, and
• carbon monoxide

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
