Ontario's Drinking Water Quality Management Standard was recently revised to include a list of mandatory risks that must be considered by operating authorities. It specifically requires consideration of climate change.

The policy establishes “a new climate change organization to be a one-window source for leading-edge climate projection data and adaptation information and services.”

The establishment of a new organization for climate change adaptation is a positive approach that is consistent with recommendations from the Expert Panel on Climate Change.
