Please save and complete the White Pines Wind Farm project in Prince Edward County. Creating clean energy is a way to the economically sound pursuit of controlling and combating the scourge of climate change in Ontario and beyond.
I oppose dismantling and ending the White Pines Wind Project. There is no grounds for doing so in my mind.
Far more important would be to dismantle the Pickering Nuclear plant, which is truly dangerous.
Nuclear power is an incredible health and environmental threat. Wind power is not.

I believe the White Pines Wind Farm has less of an environmental impact that other sources of electricity generation (when considering the entire life cycle of electricity production.

So why has this project been cancelled? I thought Ontario was open for business? The new government has absolutely no plan for climate change. Nothing. Zilch. So why cancel a wind farm that was years in the making, and where millions have dollars have already been spent.

Renewable energy is really important. Please don't close the wind farm. With increasing greenhouse gases and global warming an ongoing and increasing issue moving away from sustainable and environmentally responsible energy sources is not the right call.
Electrical generation via wind turbines offers vast potential as a low-carbon power source. The province of Ontario should be building more wind turbines, not closing down ongoing projects. I am a resident of Ontario who is opposed to the closing of the White Pines Wind Project.
I don't think that it makes any sense to dismantle the White Pines wind farm installation. The cost to tax payers will be considerable. It makes far more sense to continue operating these units as required. As electric vehicles become more wide spread, green energy will make more and more sense.
Please do not cancel the white pines wind project. Prince Edward County is an ideal location due to the wind, and ontario needs wind power to limit our exposure to nuclear power and radioactive waste.
Please do not cancel the White Pines Wind Project! Not only has the province already invested millions of dollars that will be completely wasted as a result, but it will eliminate green economy jobs, as well as force us to use energy that has a more deleterious effect on the environment.

I'm sorry but why would a WIND FARM be closing?? Wind is a Natural, non polluting, energy resource that is a positive way to make power, No?

At a time when the world is transitioning to renewable energy, this act would kill opportunities for future green energy investment, further put the climate at risk, and cost Ontario taxpayers millions spent destroying a nearly completed project.

I'm sad and frustrated that the current PC government feels that renewable energy is a "waste of taxpayer's money," when clearly, renewable energy is the way of the future... however I suppose I shouldn't be surprised with the PC's.

As a taxpayer in Prince Edward County I wish to state that it is a huge mistake to stop the White Pines Wind Project. It is foolish to take down turbines that are already standing and ready to go online. No carbon-free replacement has been proposed to take their place. This is a step backward.

Wind is a renewable resource that is fantastic for generating electricity is a very sustainable way. With impact of climate change causing very detrimental impact on the earth, nature and people, we must continue to transition to sustainable and renewable power generation.

I do not wish to see the White Pines Wind project terminated. The project demonstrates no negative impacts upon human health or safety, nor does it demonstrate adverse environmental effects.
