Why do we need to hunt calf’s? We are trying to increase the population and manage it. If the population is low then we should think about the next generation of moose. I agree the wolf/coyote population as well as bear do not help the calf population but we are not helping it either. Lire davantage

I was going to suggest golng back to every other year moose hunt in southern area, you know when there was lots of moose and tags available. But if you dont hand out a calf tag with a moose licence it may accomplish the same thing.

why dont they shorten the season you can hunt for 3 mounts in the north and theirs more moose in 47 then deer who does these surveys

There needs a way to transfer a tag obviously due to medical reasons but also occupation change. We had a circumstance where one of our members chaanged jobs in Sept. His new job did not allow holidays right away and fortunately we were able to transfer within our group. Lire davantage

I have not found evidence that the ministry includes in their statistics the total number of moose harvested by native hunters. Therefore, all rationalisation from the ministry regarding how they decide how many tags are allocated to each designated area is total nonsense! Lire davantage

I like the fact that changes are being made to make the tag process more fair. I believe Ontario should look at how other provinces manage their moose populations. As I believe in Quebec but not 100% positive they alternate year to year between bulls & cows. Lire davantage

I am very glad to see that there will be more archery tags the point system seems allright. My big concern is if my hunting partners or myself do not have a tag , to my understanding we will not be able to hunt Moose that year.
