PLEASE JUST DON'T FORGET THE TRAGEDY IN AUSTRALIA. LET THE ANIMALS AND THE ECO-SYSTEM ALONE! YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHO CAN LIVE AND WHO CAN'T! HOW DARE YOU TO EVEN HAVE A IDEA LIKE THIS AND THEN YOU THINK YOU WILL LET DO IT? NEVER! Lire davantage

A spring bear hunt in an appalling idea. With no way to distinguish between males and females, we are completely unnecessarily orphaning and killing cubs when their mothers are shot. We all know the story behind Winnie the Pooh, don’t we? Lire davantage

This is outrageous!!!! I live in a highly populated bear area and don’t have any problem with bears. Instead I get the beautiful pleasure of watching the mamas care for their babies each spring. These people are just blood thirsty. Stop the bear hunt!!!!

you are proposing that cubs and females not be killed, it is inevitable that loads of them will be killed. People do not have that much discretion nor ability to know. Lire davantage

I do not support a proposed spring bear hunt. The risk of mother bears being shot by mistake is too high which puts the population at risk. Mi agree that bears should be protected but not to go and take photos of the bears. Putting people and bears in close proximity to each other is dangerous. Lire davantage

I am disappointed to see the potential extension of the black bear hunt. It seems unethical to use the hunt of these animals for economic game and for hunters to engage in this hunt for pleasure. I cannot see any way to justify the hunt at all let alone expand it.

There is ample evidence that the black bear hunt does nothing to reduce the nuisance bear problem. Rather, the evidence supports the orphaning of almost 300 bear cubs in the last year the bear hunt was allowed. Lire davantage

I oppose spring bear hunt. It dangerously reduces the bear population which hinders government’s own logic of fostering business (hunting). Not to mention it’s a barbaric and shameful practice.

Absolutely not. The fact that hunting is even allowed is disgusting but to allow hunting in spring when mothers are raising thier cubs is idiotic and inhumane. Lire davantage

It’s ridiculous to propose shooting bears as a money-making venture for the Government of Ontario. Eco-tourism with photographers being accompanied by a naturalist to take photos should be promoted instead and would also result in additional tourists to Ontario without harming our wildlife.

Reintroducing bear hunting season is the both ecologically & morally repugnant. Canada's bears, their life & habitat must be respected & not destroyed for short-term profit!

I do not support the spring bear hunt. It is almost impossible to tell female from male bears before shooting. If a hunter kills a female bear, he will simply not report it and, if worried about the unlikely event of being caught, simply walk away from the carcass. Lire davantage

It's barbaric to allow hunting of any kind - but especially a wild animal, such as a black bear which is mainly for sport and the joy (I guess) of simply killing another living being - living its ONE and ONLY life. Lire davantage

Why do we have such a terrible need to destroy our natural wildlife and environment for the sake of money. This is no longer a sport but a money grab. There is no need for anyone to kill a bear or any other creature other than the chance to destroy something. This is wrong on every level!
