The intention of the A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for The Greater Golden Horseshoe (APTG) is sound in principle, but its execution is bound to fail. Sprawl is clearly a problem and densification is clearly part of the solution.

I am opposed to modifying regulations that restrict development in the Green Belt. We should continue to restrict developer access to green spaces. Our development goals must consider long-term implications for the environment. High density housing is key to conserving our green spaces.
Think of the people of the Golden Horseshoe who want good health not uncontrollable growth.
Plant more trees to bring clean air & water. Protect the environment.
The GGH Plan and amendment contain no information about how protection of rural areas, class one and two farmland, and Greenbelt areas will be enforced. Equally, there is no information about how aggregates will be monitored.

There are plenty of housing opportunities within the greenbelt, so this legislation should not give opportunities to municipalities go beyond the boundaries of the greenbelt.
