This is unacceptable. What happened to Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark's statement “We will not in any way entertain any proposals that will move lands in the Greenbelt, or open the Greenbelt lands to any kind of development"? Lire davantage

I moved to Ottawa 10 years ago because of its green space but with the advantage of city services. We have been having trouble with coyotes and rats because we did so much construction that they have no where to go anymore. Lire davantage

Do NOT open up the Greenbelt! This is protected land for a reason and “replacing” sections with new additions is NOT ok and does NOT respect the original intention of the Greenbelt. Lire davantage

I am against any reduction in the Greenbelt, or swapping out Greenbelt space for space in other areas of the province. This is ecologically significant land that needs protection. Lire davantage

The Ontario Conservative Government has previously promised not to develop on the Greenbelt, nor do do any "land swapping" for this critical protected land. I stand firmly against this proposal.

The Greenbelt is one of the best things Southern Ontario has to offer. Do not ruin it for more ugly new homes. Build affordable multi-family housing in urban areas were people want to live.

I am against any changes being made to the Greenbelt or any other protected lands. Doug Ford didn't make a lot of promises or firm commitments in either of his election campaigns, but not touching the Greenbelt was one of them. Lire davantage

Blatant disregard for the environment and backtracking on promises, classic Ford government. Did not think I could be even more ashamed of my province’s leaders this week but here we are. Lire davantage

Absolutely not. We are in the midst of a GLOBAL CLIMATE CRISIS. You have a responsibility to care for Ontario, and that means being a steward of the land for the generations that are still too young to vote. Lire davantage

As much as Ontario needs new housing, building on the green belt is not right. Taking land out of the current green belt and adding additional lands to make up / increasefor this is not the same as "not touching" the green belt. Lire davantage

The point of the greenbelt is that it’s the best arable land we have in Ontario. As we grow in population and climate change makes food harder to produce, we need this land more and more Adding some other area wont balance the losses here Protect our Greenbelt. Protect farms
