NO. This is a terrible idea. It will induce more traffic and conflicts with already set municipal plans. Long term it will cost more money then the tax revenue it generates. Just focus on urban infill with higher density and transit. Basically the missing middle problem. From Hamilton Ontario.

For the sake of our population's mental health and the health of our planet, do not touch our farming land or Natural Heritage System areas for the sake of development. We need more greenspace, not less. Lire davantage

Not only is the paving over the greenbelt short-sighted in terms of protecting the environment, and thus, our domestic food supply; but building there also contributes towards urban sprawl. Sprawl is not cheap. Lire davantage

As a resident of Ontario and the GTA I do not support the proposed amendments to the Greenbelt. We should not be encouraging sprawl. Please encourage more denser housing and larger condos (more 3 bedroom units). Lire davantage

The green belt is some of the most arable land in the world. We have a crisis on the west coast of the country such as wild fires and droughts. We need to be more self reliant in this province (and country) to prevent a situation of having food shortages. Lire davantage

Leave the greenbelt alone. For once keep to your promises and preserve the greenbelt and the nature that resides there. A highway/ homes are not needed there- stop doing this to make money

Leave the green belt alone please. The govt has made no real case for why another tract of protected land should be destroyed to extend suburbia. Studies have shown that people need green spaces for their mental health and physical health. Lire davantage

This government is an embarrassment. Pay workers the raise they deserve and stop developing the green belt. Your lust for short term profit is literally killing people and ecosystems.

Please stop plans for development in the green belt. This is valuable agricultural land and once developed into housing there is no going back. How will we feed the predicted wave of new Ontario residents if we pave over this land for development? What about the environmental impact? Lire davantage

Many of our cities do not have enough tax revenue to cover services to low density housing such as single family homes. We need to focus on adding density, build taller and multi unit residential buildings. Lire davantage
