The Greenbelt should not be fouled by capitalist greed. There are many other areas of development and opportunities for housing complexes. Ontario should be ashamed if we lose such an important ecological feature.

Just like in 2018, Doug Ford should be listening to the people, and governing through their voice. We do not want the Greenbelt built on. Reverse course. Stop fighting the public will. And while you're at it, repeal 124, and pay CUPE.

I am a young adult (late 20s) looking to buy his first house in the GTA. I disagree with and disapprove of removing or "substituting" any lands from the greenbelt. It sets a bad precedent to remove land we should be protecting for any reason. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose these changes. Redesignating Greenbelt areas will cause irreparable harm. There is enough space in the existing areas for growth. We need greater density not urban sprawl. Keep the Greenbelt (as it is currently designated) green.

This proposal is an absolute sham and borderline criminal. It is particularly insulting as it stands to enrich developpers with NO GUARANTEE of benefits to the public. PUBLIC LAND SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC. If it is to be developped, it should be guaranteed community housing / afforbable housing. Lire davantage

So against this. Doug Ford is corrupt. The new owners of the land bought it just ahead of the rules changing. How? Inside influence. Shame on you for broken promises and selling off any hope of our part of the province being preserved.

It is shameful that the Ford government has decided to pursue this project by developing on greenbelt protected land. Due diligence studies suggested the development on this land to accommodate highway that only saves a driver 5 mins travel time. Lire davantage

The fact that the owners of the lands in the green belt changed hands to developers shortly before Ford's government put forth motions to allow development on said lands is clear evidence for an investigation into corruption of said government. Lire davantage

It would be nice if short term minded politicians would stop selling important and/or natural assets of our province/country off in order to line their dirty pockets with cash so that they can gloat over "lowering" the debt ceiling while sitting their short length in office, get pats on the back fro Lire davantage
