What disturbs me most about the passing of this bill is its shortsightedness and lack of proper planning. Municipalities, environmental groups, housing experts and citizens alike oppose Bill 23 because simply put- it will not fix the housing crisis. Lire davantage

Hello, It makes no sense to pave over farmland in the green belt. Your government promised not to touch this. Once it’s gone it’s gone. In an age where we face ever growing food insecurity it is so short sighted to do this. It is a betrayal of the public trust and of future generations. Lire davantage

I'm a lifelong citizen, resident, and business owner in Ontario. I feel a strong need to express my disapproval of the proposed changes to the greenbelt. These changes are dangerous to Ontario, its people, and its economy. Lire davantage

Leave the greenbelt as is. Giving more power to less people is never not ok. Why do we have to even oppose this. What this Bill proposes is not democratic. Please don't touch the greenbelt.

It would be a crime to destroy the habitat of our already disappearing wildlife and greenery. What does it teach our children if we choose to eradicate what little beauty there is left on this earth, for a temporary luxury that benefits only a few. Lire davantage

I don’t think it’s appropriate to develop the green belt for construction. With ongoing climate change, it is important to preserve greenbelts to help against pollution and loss of habitat for wild life. More and more encroachment is resulting in wild animals losing their habitats. Lire davantage

Bill 23 is completely wrong. Do not do this. It will not solve the housing problem. The green belt must be protected. Our provincial conservation authorities must not be gutted. They perform vital functions. Lire davantage

The conservative government passed the law to protect Ontario's Green Belt and Oak Ridges. STOP BILL 23 NOW. Continue to protect the Green Belt and Oak Ridges Moraine from development.

Please keep your promise to leave the Greenbelt alone. It provides much needed habitat for many species of animals and protects farmland. Both of these things are rapidly disappearing. We will all be much poorer if they do

I do not support this proposal. Not only will this result in severing the existing natural connections for wildlife in the greenbelt, but 50,000 houses will not support the wider issue of insufficient housing for millions.

DO NOT REMOVE or REPLACE ANY OF THE ONTARIO GREENBELT FOR THIS SILLY HOUSING BILL. THIS IS ONLY BENEFITTING DOUG’S DEVELOPER BUDDIES. SAVE OUR ENVIRONMENT FOR THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN.
