Urban boundary expansion was a topic that we the people already voted on, and voted against. What the provincial government is doing directly opposes the will of the people, the people that you are supposed to represent. Lire davantage

What an extremely stupid and short sighted idea this is. Focus on improving the function of cities that already exist and build them up. Increase density of existing cities. Lire davantage

Why even bother adding areas to the greenbelt? They won't just be removed later when it suits you? Like workers rights, these protections either exist or they don't. Changing the rules mid-game and overriding protections makes the entire system a sham. Lire davantage

I do not support this proposal to remove parcels (or any part) of the Greenbelt. By definition, this is permanently protected environmentally-sensitive land. I do not accept that it is necessary to develop the proposed parcels of land in order to achieve the goal of building more homes faster. Lire davantage

It is important to build more affordable housing for the growing Ontario population, but this should not be done by bulldozing over the natural habitat of our land. More dense housing, middle housing to be exact, should be pursued over laying out hundreds of inefficient single-family homes. Lire davantage

Has the government read the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force report? Minister Clark received a letter detailing how existing land can be developed to higher densities. There is no need to develop protected lands with single family homes.

The greenbelt needs to stay. We all value our greenspaces, our trails and provincial parks, and our farmland. The greenbelt needs to stay protected. There should not be a highway or huge developments going through it. Lire davantage

There is no reason to build in the greenbelt, your own experts created a plan for densification in the GTA. Please focus on creating walkable communities with good public transit infrastructure.
