Taking over a mass area of our greenbelt is not the answer to the housing crisis, its an easy way to line pockets. Our government needs to focus their efforts on making the current housing more affordable and making public transit more available. Lire davantage

Hello, I am very opposed to the reduction in Greenbelt land being proposed in Greenbelt Plan, Greenbelt Area boundary regulation (O. Reg. 59/05). There are better ways to deal with the housing crisis.

I strongly object to proposed changed the The Green Belt! There are so many empty buildings and land within the Greater Toronto area that could be redeveloped for additional housing. I guarantee that if this goes through, i will never support this current government again. Lire davantage

As a voter and tax payer, I am greatly disappointed in this proposal to remove land from the Greenbelt. And the solution to replace land in the greenbelt which are already protected is misleading and cynical at best. Lire davantage

This is a terrible plan. The Greenbelt was built for a reason and the Ford govenerment is jumping to this proposal without regard for the plethora of other options. Lire davantage

In light of the climate crisis, we must look to build homes within our current municipalities and not encroach on green space. There are other options to increase density in our cities and towns without removing valuable protected environmental areas. Lire davantage

Our country & the planet is already in a climate crisis. Tremendous scientific & weather evidence is around us daily. We need to be doing more to preserve as well as increase the green spaces & natural environments not reduce them. Lire davantage

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The Greenbelt is protected land in for a reason.. it’s home to many important and endangered plants and animals and it’s critical to our province’s flood protection. Our climate is at a record pace of decline, this is merely putting gasoline to the fire. Lire davantage

Please don't do this. There are plenty of un used office spaces and other places to build. I do not agree with this and will not vote for anyone who says yes to this amendment.

Do not open the Greenbelt to development. We should be designating more land as nature reserves, not shaving off what we've already 0ut in place. The housing we need is shoukd be affordabe and in accessible areas not mansions in our Green space.

This proposal only benefits Doug Ford's rich friends, so they can develop the land, build themselves mansions and make tons of money at the expense of our province. Lire davantage

THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. This land is protected for a reason and open it up to builders will cause irreplaceable harm to the surrounding areas and the delicate ecosystems it currently houses.

The Green belt needs to stay protected by conservation authorities. We have lots of space to repurpose into high density housing. Stop allowing developers to just sprawl. Ford promised he wouldn’t touch the Green Belt. This is disgusting.

We do not need more mansions on the greenbelt. We cannot buy air with money. Consider using vacant office buildings as restructured/affordable housing

I think that the greenbelt is protected for a reason. In a time of environmental disaster we should be looking to reallocate and reuse already developed land and not destroy natural protected land.

I am completely against this amendment to open up the protected green belt for building. DO NOT DESTROY our green spaces. There are lots of places to build that are not the green belt.
