The Oak Ridges Moraine is Ontario's Water filter. The more of it we lose, the more at risk we are of having undrinkable ground water for the Country's fastest growing region.

I am opposed to any expansion of the municipal boundaries in the area covered by the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. As you know from reading the plan, these areas are protected for the express purpose of protecting the quality of the water that people in the Greater Golden Horseshoe drink.

I am completely opposed to Bill 23 and it's proposed changes to the
Greenbelt which the Premier promised to not touch and protect. The housing crisis can be fixed by another way. (e.g. changing rental laws to allow basement apartments).

I am well educated in environmental protection. The idea of developing on the Oakridges Moraine needs to be abandoned. These critical source water protection areas need to continue to be protected. Please, please, please do not give it further consideration for housing developments.
