Now more then ever we need to build our cities with a responsible approach, which must include protecting natural settings for future generations. To expand neighbourhoods with a disregard for the impact this will have on the environment is not only irreversible, it’s irresponsible.

Please please please DO NOT DISTURB this very important and precious piece of land. Although housing is also important, we must protect our lands and the diversity it brings. Rethink this proposal and come up with another solution than destroying this crucial habitat.
Hello, Proposed Modifications in Map 6 is extremely large to the greener areas to the residents. This is not what we expect from a responsible government. Very disappointing. This consultation appears to be a sham exercise

"More Homes Built Faster" on the ecologically sensitive Oak Ridges Moraine is a travesty of urban planning. This Act should be dead in the water because it violates the very principles of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and will result in irreparable damage to vital natural systems.

This is absolutely ridiculous. There is no need to remove space from the green belt and protected wildlife area for new housing. There are plenty of options to accommodate the increase of residents without such absurd and greedy measures. Thai cannot be done.
We need to protect wetlands and sensitive areas. The damage to the environment is irreversible. The Ford Government continuously is coming after these lands for the benefit of the developers and their friends.
This is a terrible plan. The Greenbelt was built for a reason and the Ford govenerment is jumping to this proposal without regard for the plethora of other options.

The Greenbelt must be protected. All Environmentally protected lands should remain protected and we should be adding protections to additional land, not taking any away.

This should absolutely not be allowed. The homes will flood, the wildlife that depends on the area will be displaced and this is not at all protecting our environment.
Stop destroying our protected environmental lands to build houses. These areas are protected for a reason. They house native species and plants that are vital to our existence which once are destroyed can NEVER be replaced. Just stop.
Doug Ford, premier of Ontario promised not to touch the green belt. The proposed changes are going to have a significant effect on Ontario and its conservation efforts. Perhaps the funding and proposed changes could be built into helping the masses of people who cannot afford adequate housing.

I urge the Premier to:
1) withdraw the plan to remove lands from the Greenbelt;
2) get on with a meaningful Greenbelt expansion that reflects public input - repeatedly promised but never delivered by the Ford government;

This has to be one of the asinine ideas, just to build monster homes for the rich. There is no way any developer is going to build cheap homes on prime land that they can market for millions, this is not going to help the housing situation at all.
I am horrified by what Bill 23 proposes. Doug Ford is breaking a promise here. This will inevitably lead to more suburban sprawl, the loss of good farmland, wetlands, woodlands, and other habitats that support biodiversity.
