Why should Ontarians better align the work of CAs with provincial priorities. Are they not there to protect the enviroment and the natural areas for Ontarians to enjoy rather than the whims of changing governments.

Please do not do this. I value the quality of our Rideau Lakes system which is unique and requires specific attention from local people. Why take such a risk to our shrinking wildlife and wilderness. Only to speed up housing and development? Lire davantage

Going from 36 to 7, is too little for the area. As many on comments already, things will be lost in the cracks and the local input will be lost. I understand streamlining decisions, but areas this big, one answer won’t be the answer for all of it. Lire davantage

If this saves money, and I think it should, I am in. I know first hand how the LSRCA has caused headaches by their inconsistent and unpredictable decisions on building permits, lasting almost a year. We live close to Lake Simcoe and really want to protect it. Lire davantage

I’m very concerned about the decision to overhaul and reduce the number of conservation authorities in Ontario. We need to preserve local knowledge of our watersheds and maintain our ability for close, local monitoring so that response times to issues are not delayed.
