As a resident of downtown…

As a resident of downtown toronto and an annual subscriber to the toronto bike share program , i use a bicycle for most of my urban commuting needs. yes i own a car (and a motorcycle) but getting back and forth to work or a friends house is just easier and faster by bicycle as well as eliminating the need for parking once i arrive. Torontos bike lanes keep me safe from reckless drivers and are a big part of taking cars off roads, improving traffic flow.
I don’t understand why the province is meddling in municipal affairs and i don’t understand why doug ford thinks this is a good idea. expert after expert says it will make traffic worse and result in increased cyclist deaths. i feel strongly about this… strong enough to vote against conservative over reach in the next election of i have to. Don’t do this doug… it’s a terrible idea and seems to be based solely on an overly narrow, car centric view of toronto.
